About Texas Township

Established in 1837 from portions of Dyberry Township, Texas Township is a second-class township in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. Located in the scenic Pocono Mountains region, the township spans 14.5 square miles along the Lackawaxen River.

Home to the historic community of White Mills, Texas Township is known for its rich heritage — including the renowned Dorflinger Glass Works, which produced fine cut crystal that graced White House tables for decades.
